Description

DAB Esybox Mini 3 Variable-Speed Water Pressure Booster Pump | Happy Hydro

Give your feed lines constant, boosted pressure from one plug-in pump

The DAB Esybox Mini 3 pulls water from your reservoir, tote, or house supply and holds it at a pressure you set, anywhere from 15 to 79 psi, so every emitter down the line gets the same push. An inverter varies the motor speed to match demand instead of cycling on and off, which takes the swings and the noise out of the old pump-and-tank setup. The whole system runs off a standard wall outlet. Set your pressure, connect your lines, walk away.

Running something bigger? A single Esybox Mini 3 covers most home and single-room grows. When one pump cannot keep up with a larger operation, up to four units link together to add flow without swapping hardware. Not sure how many you need? Call 716-217-0353 and we will size it with you.

Standard pump and tank vs. the DAB Esybox Mini 3
Standard pump + tank
  • Pressure rises and drops as the pump kicks on and off
  • Loud motor cycling you can hear across the room
  • Separate pump, bladder tank, and pressure switch to source and size
  • Hardwire and plumb several parts before it runs
  • Runs at full speed, then shuts off, over and over
  • No readout, so you notice a problem when the water stops
DAB Esybox Mini 3
  • Holds the pressure you set as valves open and close
  • About 45 dB(A), water-cooled and on anti-vibration feet
  • Pump, sensors, controller, and expansion vessel in one housing
  • Connect inlet, outlet, and a wall plug, with no extra parts
  • Inverter varies motor speed to match what you draw
  • LCD and the DConnect app show status and set pressure

How the Esybox Mini 3 holds pressure steady

The unit reads pressure and flow through built-in sensors many times a second. Open a valve or an emitter and pressure drops; the inverter speeds the motor up just enough to bring it back to your target, then eases off as demand falls. A standard pump only knows on and off, so it overshoots and coasts down, and that is where the pressure swings and the water hammer come from.

Because the motor rarely runs flat out, it draws less power and makes less noise than a fixed-speed pump doing the same work. The built-in expansion vessel handles the smallest draws on its own, so the motor is not restarting every time a single dripper opens.

What an integrated booster gives you

Even flow from the first emitter to the last Constant pressure

As zones open and close, the pump adjusts to keep pressure level across the whole manifold. A long drip run does not start strong and finish weak.

Feed from a reservoir below the pump 26 ft lift

The self-priming design lifts water from a tank, tote, or barrel sitting well below the unit, so your reservoir does not have to sit up high.

Quiet enough to run indoors ~45 dB(A)

A water-cooled motor and anti-vibration feet keep it quiet enough to live in a grow room, basement, or closet without the cycling clunk of a jet pump.

Installs horizontal or vertical

The unit mounts either way to fit tight spots, and the pump, sensors, and controller all share one sealed housing.

Matches power to demand

The inverter trims motor speed when you draw less, and DAB rates the savings at up to $175 a year against a fixed-speed pump.

Protected and connected

Dry-run and antifreeze protection shut the pump down before damage, and built-in DConnect connectivity lets you check status and set pressure from the DAB app.

Setting up the Esybox Mini 3

1

Place and connect

Set the unit near your water source. Connect the inlet to your supply or reservoir and the outlet to your feed line.

2

Plug in and start

Plug into a standard outlet. A guided routine on the display walks you through the first start-up.

3

Set your pressure

Use the LCD to dial in the target pressure for your emitters, misters, or RO membrane.

4

Let it hold

The pump speeds up and eases off to keep that pressure as valves open and close. Dry-run protection stops it if the reservoir runs empty.

Frequently asked questions
For most home and single-room grows, yes. One Esybox Mini 3 moves about 10 gpm at 58 psi, which covers typical drip manifolds, top-feed systems, and multi-zone setups with room to spare. If you are running a large commercial layout, tell us the details and we will confirm the sizing or set you up with linked units at 716-217-0353.
The pump is rated for clean water that is free of grit and abrasives, so it is best used to pressurize fresh or RO water for your feed lines and mixing. Running heavy nutrient slurry or debris through it can shorten its life. If you want to pump mixed solution, filter out particulates first and give us a call so we can talk through your setup at 716-217-0353.
Yes. A common use is pressurizing water from an atmospheric RO holding tank, or boosting weak feed pressure going into the membrane. Set the pressure within your membrane's rated range on the display, and keep the feed water clean, since the pump is meant for clear water only.
Keep it indoors or under cover. The IPX4 rating means it shrugs off splashes, but it is not weatherproof and should not be submerged or left in the rain. Set it on a flat, solid surface in whichever orientation fits your space, horizontal or vertical.
It ships with a standard 115V plug and pulls about 4.8 amps, so a normal household outlet handles it. It can also run on 208 or 230V if that is what you have. Give it its own circuit where you can, especially running alongside lights and climate gear.
No. Everything needed to run is built into the unit, so you only supply the inlet, outlet, and power. The one thing worth considering is an optional add-on pressure tank, which reduces how often the motor starts on systems with lots of tiny, frequent draws. It is not required.
