You read pH when you remember to, which is usually once a day and never at three in the morning.	The Hydro Master reads pH, EC and water temperature continuously, day and night, without being asked.
Correcting pH is a capful, a stir, a wait and a re-test, and the second correction is usually undoing the first.	Two pumps correct in small steps as the number moves, so the solution does not swing past target and come back.
Every top up means measuring bottles by hand and hoping the strength matches the last one.	Four nutrient pumps dose toward the EC figure on your chart, the same way every time.
A weekend away is a reservoir nobody is watching and a Monday spent fixing it.	Control and readings are in the Growee app, or in a browser at mygrowee.com, from wherever you are.

The pH Balancer carries its own two pumps and the two nutrient dosers carry two each, so a problem with one bottle never stops the other half of the system working.

Growee rates one Hydro Master for four nutrient dosers, eight nutrient pumps in total, so adding a fifth and sixth bottle later is a doser purchase rather than a rebuild.

0.2 control resolution

pH is held in a band, not chased to a number

Growee publishes a control range of 5.0 to 8.0 at 0.2 control resolution, which is how the system avoids dosing against itself.

5 to 300 gallons

One tote or a small commercial tank

Growee publishes a working range of 5 to 300 gallons for the Pro Combo, so a single tent reservoir sits at the bottom of it rather than outside it.

350 ft on ethernet

There is a cable option when Wi-Fi will not reach

Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz and rated to 65 ft from the router. Ethernet takes it to 350 ft, which is how most basement and outbuilding rooms get connected.

Four steps from a hand-tested reservoir to a managed one

Put the two probes in the solution

The pH probe and the combined EC and water temperature probe sit in the reservoir. The Hydro Master mounts nearby and runs from its 24 W supply.

Get the controller onto your network

Join 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi within 65 ft of the router, or run an ethernet cable if the grow room is further out than that.

Enter the feed chart and the targets

Set this week's pH band and EC target in the app. The pumps dose toward them and stop, rather than running on a timer.

Refill bottles instead of testing water

Readings and graphs live in the app and at mygrowee.com. Keeping the pH and nutrient bottles topped up becomes the only standing job.

Buying tip: the step up from the Starter Combo is $275 and buys two more nutrient pumps. If you feed a two-part program and expect to stay there, the Starter does the same job for less. FAQ

What growers ask before automating a reservoir

Does it need calibrating, and does calibration solution come with it?

The combo ships with the pH probe and the EC and water temperature probe. Growee sells calibration solutions separately as a four bottle set, pH 7, pH 4, EC 1.4 and EC 2.77, and does not publish a calibration schedule for the Pro Combo. Call 716-217-0353 before you order if you want the solutions quoted alongside the system.

What does Growee not publish about this system?

Pump flow rate, unit dimensions and shipping weight are all unpublished, which is why no figure for any of them appears above. The warranty is stated two different ways on Growee's own site, 3 years on the Pro Combo page and 24 months on its product overview, so we have left the warranty off this page rather than print a number we cannot stand behind. Call 716-217-0353 and we will get any of it confirmed in writing before you buy.

Will it work with the nutrients I already use?

The pumps move liquid out of whichever bottles you connect, so the brand on the label does not matter to the hardware. What the system needs from you is a feeding chart with an EC figure to dose toward, because EC is the target it works against. A dry powder program has to be mixed to a liquid stock first.

Can I use it just to monitor, without any dosing?

The Hydro Master reads pH, EC and water temperature by itself, and Growee sells it on its own for growers who want the readings and nothing else. Buying the full Pro Combo and leaving six pumps idle is an expensive way to get there. Call 716-217-0353 and we will quote the controller alone if monitoring is the whole job.

Is there a bigger version if I outgrow four nutrient pumps?

Growee builds an Expert Combo with six nutrient pumps, which we do not stock. You do not need it to get past four, though: the controller in this box already takes two more Smart Nutrient Dosers. Call 716-217-0353 and we will price the extra dosers against a whole new system so you can see which is cheaper.

How do I control it when I am not on the home network?

Through the Growee app, free on the Apple App Store and Google Play, or in any browser at mygrowee.com. Both reach the controller from wherever you are rather than only on the local network. The 65 ft and 350 ft figures are about getting the controller onto your network in the first place, not about how far away you can stand.

What if my order shows up damaged, or I change my mind?

If you receive a defective or damaged unit, email us a photo at help@happyhydro.com and we'll take care of you. For change-of-mind returns, we accept returns within 30 days for most items in new, resalable condition.
