Description
Spray the mites this morning and still harvest today
Three botanical oils at 0.55 percent of the bottle, rosemary, clove and peppermint, already mixed to the rate Grower's Ally intends and fitted with a trigger sprayer. The 24 oz label is OMRI Listed, carries the FIFRA 25(b) minimum risk exemption, and states harvest same day with no re-entry interval. Nothing to measure, nothing to calculate, and the full ingredient list is printed on the bottle.

Reaching for a conventional miticide
Spider Mite Control Ready-to-Use
A pre-harvest interval sets the last date you are allowed to spray, so a late outbreak costs you the window.
The label states harvest same day, and Grower's Ally rates it for all stages of growth from clones onward.
Re-entry intervals and required protective equipment keep you out of your own grow space for hours.
Grower's Ally states no re-entry interval and minimal personal protective equipment for this ready-to-use formula.
You measure a concentrate into a sprayer and your result depends on getting the rate right.
Mixed at the factory to 0.55 percent total actives in a 24 fl oz trigger bottle. No dilution required.
"Natural" on the front of the bottle with no third party behind the word.
OMRI Listed for organic production, and a minimum risk pesticide exempt from EPA registration under FIFRA 25(b).
Actives are named but the remaining 99 percent hides behind the phrase "other ingredients".
The label prints all of it: rosemary oil 0.50%, clove oil 0.03%, peppermint oil 0.02%, then water, glycerol monooleate, ethyl lactate and ascorbyl palmitate.
Labels commonly cap how many applications you get per season, which matters when mites come back.
Grower's Ally states no limitation on the number of applications per growing cycle.

Before you order
Six things worth knowing about this bottle specifically
Harvest same dayAll stages
It does not take the last weeks away from you
Most pest problems show up late, which is exactly when a pre-harvest interval hurts. This label puts no days between the last spray and the harvest.
0.55% actives
Three oils, printed to two decimal places
Rosemary at 0.50%, clove at 0.03% and peppermint at 0.02%, with the remaining 99.45% named on the label rather than hidden.
OMRI ListedFIFRA 25(b)
Organic status someone else checked
OMRI reviews the formula against the organic standard, so the claim does not rest on the manufacturer's own word.
No dilution
Nothing to measure at 11pm
The bottle is the sprayer. Shake it, pull the trigger, and the rate is whatever Grower's Ally decided it should be.
No REI
You are not locked out of the room
Grower's Ally publishes no re-entry interval and says minimal protective equipment is required, which is the difference between treating a tent and scheduling around it.
Contact spray
Coverage is the whole job
It works on contact, so a mite the spray never touched is a mite that survives. Leaf undersides are where they are, and where most people miss.

Labeled for vegetables, fruits, flowers, ornamentals and hydroponics. The safety data sheet describes it as a clear liquid with a fresh herbal odor, completely soluble in water, with no flash point. Four things are deliberately missing above, because Grower's Ally does not publish them for this size: shelf life, pH, specific gravity, and any coverage figure in square feet or plants per bottle. The 24 oz Ready-to-Use label and the Ready-to-Use safety data sheet are both on Grower's Ally's own site. Call 716-217-0353 if you need something confirmed before you order.
How it works
Four steps from bottle to treated canopy
1
Shake it, and keep shaking it
The label says shake well before use and again during use. Oils and water separate, and a bottle left standing sprays water first.
2
Spray to runoff, undersides included
Cover leaves and stems until the liquid runs off. Spray early morning or evening, and not when the temperature is above 90°F.
3
Give it 2 to 3 hours indoors
Grower's Ally asks for lights and fans off for 2 to 3 hours after an indoor application, then back to normal.
4
Come back for the second pass
The 24 oz label says wait at least 5 days before reapplying. Mites you missed the first time are the reason there is a second pass at all.

Your situation
What we would send instead
More than a few plants, or a tent you spray on a schedule
Buying tip: Grower's Ally publishes no coverage figure for this bottle, so we will not invent one. As a rough guide from our own shipping, growers with a few plants in a 2x4 buy one bottle and come back in a season; growers running a 4x4 or bigger on a weekly preventative schedule run out fast and are better off on the concentrate. Not sure which side of that line you are on? Call 716-217-0353 and describe your space.
FAQ
What growers ask before buying a botanical miticide
Grower's Ally labels it for adult and nymph spider mites and publishes no data on eggs, so we are not going to claim it is ovicidal. Plan on more than one pass either way: anything that survives the first application, egg or adult, is what the second one is for. That is why the label builds in a repeat rather than treating one spray as the end of it.
The safety data sheet lists the odor as fresh herbal, which is what rosemary, clove and peppermint oils smell like together. Grower's Ally describes the product as zero residual. The scent is noticeable while you are spraying and fades as the spray dries, so if you are treating close to a harvest, spray in the morning rather than the hour before you cut.
It is the opposite of a problem. FIFRA section 25(b) is a category for minimum risk pesticides whose active and inert ingredients all sit on the EPA's permitted lists. Products in that category are exempt from registration by design, not unregistered by oversight. Grower's Ally states the exemption on the label itself, and OMRI reviewed the formula separately for organic production.
Grower's Ally reports no phytotoxicity for this product. That is their testing on their crops, not on yours, and oil sprays plus bright light is the combination that causes trouble. Our advice: spray one leaf on your most sensitive plant, wait a day, then do the rest. It costs you 24 hours and it is the cheapest insurance there is.
Because Grower's Ally gives two. Their web page for this bottle says every 3 to 5 days during an infestation, while the printed 24 oz label says wait at least 5 days before reapplying. We follow the label, so 5 days is the figure on this page. Their preventative schedule for the ready-to-use is every 7 days, and they state no limit on applications per growing cycle. We have asked them to reconcile the two.
No. Grower's Ally publishes this only as a foliar spray, applied to leaves and stems. There are no drench rates, no root zone instructions and no reservoir dosing on the label or the safety data sheet, which means anyone telling you a figure for it made it up. Spider mites live on foliage anyway, so the spray is aimed where they are.
