This 8-inch carbon filter traps odor from your tent's exhaust so your grow stays discreet. It fits a standard 8-inch fan and duct run and uses a thick bed of activated carbon to hold onto smells, and comes with a prefilter sleeve that keeps dust off the carbon so it lasts longer. It is the one piece that stands between your grow and a room that smells like it. Pair it with an 8-inch fan and you have proper odor control.

An 8-inch inline fan, to match the flange. It suits larger tents in the 5 x 5 to 4 x 8 ft range that use an 8-inch exhaust. If your fan is 4 or 6 inches, we carry matching carbon filters in those sizes, so tell us your fan and we will send the right one.
Yes, a prefilter sleeve is included. It wraps the filter and catches dust before it reaches the carbon, which keeps airflow strong and makes the carbon last longer. Wash or replace the prefilter as it loads up.
It varies with how hard it works and the humidity, but a quality carbon filter like this typically lasts through a full grow and often longer. Keeping the prefilter clean and avoiding very high humidity extends its life. When odor starts getting through, it is time to replace it.
No, the carbon is a consumable. Once it is saturated it cannot be reliably reactivated at home, so you replace the filter. The prefilter, though, is washable and reusable, which is why keeping it clean matters.
Any filter adds some resistance, but this one is built to scrub odor without choking airflow. Matching the filter to your fan keeps the airflow drop small. If your tent runs warm, size the fan with a little headroom, and we can help you plan that.
Most growers hang it inside the tent at the start of the exhaust run, so air is filtered before the fan pushes it out. That keeps the odor scrubbed and the noise down. Either way, the filter should be on the intake side of your exhaust fan.

For change-of-mind returns, we accept returns within 30 days for most items in new, resalable condition. Shipping
Check the order confirmation sent to your email or phone after checkout — it includes a tracking link. If you use the Shop App, you can track your order there too.
Most orders arrive in 3-5 business days. Expedited options (2-day, overnight) are available at checkout if you need it sooner.
Signature is only required on orders over $500. For added privacy, we can ship to your local UPS Store so you pick it up on your own schedule — just ask.
We default to UPS Ground or USPS Ground Advantage. Select an expedited option at checkout and we'll use the appropriate carrier for that service.
  • P.O. boxes: Yes, for small and lightweight items.
  • International: Canada only. Email help@happyhydro.com your address and a screenshot of your cart for a shipping quote.
  • APO/FPO: Not currently available.
For Canadian orders, import duties and taxes are the buyer's responsibility. You'll complete payment using your tracking number at UPS.com when your package arrives.
Title and risk of loss pass to you once we hand off to the carrier, but that doesn't mean we leave you hanging. Email help@happyhydro.com and we'll work overtime to track it down and make it right.
Payment
We accept credit/debit cards, PayPal, Coinbase, and Happy Hydro gift cards. Your card is charged immediately at checkout.
Double-check your billing address and card number. For larger purchases, your bank may have flagged it — a quick call to authorize the transaction usually sorts it out.
Promotions

Returns & Cancellations
Email help@happyhydro.com within 30 days of delivery and we'll get you a refund or replacement, your choice. Items must be in original packaging with all parts in resalable condition. Multi-light orders, grow tents, orders over $500, and multi-box shipments may incur return shipping charges. AK, HI, and international buyers are responsible for return and warranty shipping. Some vendor-specific policies may apply — check the product page for details.
Refunds are processed through Shopify within 10 business days. Most customers see the credit back in about 5 days.
