Grove Bags Windowed Pouches replace jars, humidity packs, and daily burping with a single sealed bag that manages its own internal environment. The built-in film actively regulates moisture, oxygen, and light exposure so your harvest cures and stores hands-free. What the engineered film actually does

Passive humidity regulation to 58-62% RH Self-adjusting, no intervention

The film's calibrated permeability lets excess moisture escape while retaining what's needed, self-adjusting to hold a stable microclimate inside the sealed bag. Once activated by your product's natural moisture content, the regulation is continuous and requires zero intervention.

Active oxygen diffusion slows degradation

The film layers actively push excess oxygen out of the sealed environment. Lower oxygen means slower oxidation, which preserves potency, aroma, and color over months of storage.

UV-blocking window for visual inspection without light damage

The viewing window includes a UV filter that blocks the wavelengths responsible for degrading sensitive compounds. You get full visual inspection without the light damage you'd see from a standard clear bag or a jar sitting on a shelf.

Odor containment, sealed tight

The multi-layer barrier contains odor inside the bag. When properly sealed (especially heat sealed), the bag keeps scent locked in during transport, storage, and curing.

Anti-static film protects trichomes

Static charge in standard containers pulls delicate trichome heads off the flower surface. The anti-static layer in Grove Bags' film eliminates that charge so your product stays intact, not stuck to the walls of the bag.

How to cure with Grove Bags (4 steps, zero maintenance)

Dry to 10-12% moisture content

Dry until stems snap cleanly but don't break completely apart (the "snap test"), or use a wood moisture meter for precision. The bags need starting moisture in the 10-12% range to establish the correct internal climate.

Fill the bag to 75%, do NOT squeeze out air

Leave roughly 25% of the bag as empty headspace because the film needs that air volume to regulate gases properly. Do not compress the bag or push air out.

Seal it: heat seal for best results, zipper for convenience

Heat sealing creates an airtight closure and is recommended for long-term storage (3+ months). The zipper works fine for shorter cures, and any household impulse sealer handles the heat seal.

Store in a cool, dark place. No burping needed.

Once sealed, the film continuously diffuses excess gases and moisture on its own at 60-70°F. Curing takes roughly two weeks, and long-term storage of 12+ months shows no measurable quality loss.

No. The engineered film handles gas exchange passively, diffusing excess moisture and unwanted gases through its layers to maintain 58-62% RH without any intervention. Once you seal the bag, leave it alone. Opening and resealing repeatedly disrupts the microclimate the film is trying to establish.
No. The film itself regulates humidity to 58-62% RH. Adding a humidity pack can actually interfere with the film's built-in regulation by introducing a competing moisture source. If your starting moisture content is in the 10-12% range, the bag handles the rest without any additional products inside.
Target 10-12% moisture content. The quick field test: bend a stem and it should snap cleanly but not break completely apart. If it bends without snapping, it's still too wet; if it snaps into two clean pieces, it may be slightly over-dried (the bag can still recover some of that, but 10-12% is the sweet spot). For precise measurement, a wood moisture meter inserted into a dense bud gives you a direct reading.
If you used the zipper only (no heat seal), yes. The film's properties don't degrade after a single use, so you can empty, refill, and reseal. If you heat sealed the bag, you'll need to cut below the seal line to open it, which shortens the bag and removes the heat-seal area for next time. Most growers treat the smaller point-of-sale sizes (1/8oz, 1/4oz) as single-use and reuse the larger 1/4lb and up bags for multiple curing cycles.
For cures under two months, the zipper alone works well. For long-term storage (3+ months), heat sealing makes a measurable difference because the zipper can let small amounts of volatile compounds escape over time while a heat seal creates a fully airtight closure. The zipper is designed for sealing and long-term storage, not daily open/close. If you need frequent access, the Glassless Grove Bags have a 5-track zipper built for that.
The film needs headspace (roughly 25% of the bag volume) to regulate gases properly. The air inside the bag is part of the system: the film diffuses excess oxygen and moisture through its layers at a controlled rate, and if you compress the bag, the film has no gas volume to work with. Fill to 75%, seal, and leave the remaining space as-is. This is the opposite of vacuum sealing, and that's by design.

Check the order confirmation sent to your email or phone after checkout — it includes a tracking link. If you use the Shop App, you can track your order there too.
Most orders arrive in 3-5 business days. Expedited options (2-day, overnight) are available at checkout if you need it sooner.
Signature is only required on orders over $500. For added privacy, we can ship to your local UPS Store so you pick it up on your own schedule — just ask.
We default to UPS Ground or USPS Ground Advantage. Select an expedited option at checkout and we'll use the appropriate carrier for that service.
  • P.O. boxes: Yes, for small and lightweight items.
  • International: Canada only. Email help@happyhydro.com your address and a screenshot of your cart for a shipping quote.
  • APO/FPO: Not currently available.
For Canadian orders, import duties and taxes are the buyer's responsibility. You'll complete payment using your tracking number at UPS.com when your package arrives.

Refunds are processed through Shopify within 10 business days. Most customers see the credit back in about 5 days.
