What the opaque pouches do

Total Light Block 100% UV

No window means zero light penetration. UV and visible light degrade quality over time, and opaque pouches eliminate that variable entirely. This is the primary reason dispensaries and commercial packers choose opaque over windowed.

58-62% RH, No Packs Needed

The engineered film regulates humidity passively once activated by your product's own moisture. No Boveda packs, no hydrometers, no maintenance.

Oxygen Diffusion, No Burping

The film's calibrated permeability lets unwanted gases escape while maintaining the internal atmosphere. No daily burping, no opening and resealing. Seal it and forget it.

Odor Containment

How to cure with opaque pouches

Dry to 10-12% moisture

Use the snap test: stems should snap cleanly but not crumble apart completely. A wood moisture meter gives a precise reading if you want to dial it in exactly.

Fill to 75%, do NOT squeeze out air

Leave 25% headspace in the bag. This airspace is required for the film to regulate properly. Do not press or vacuum the air out.

Seal the bag

Heat sealing gives the best long-term results, but the zipper works fine for storage under 6 months. For commercial operations, a heat sealer is worth the investment.

Store in a cool, dark place

No burping needed. The film handles gas exchange on its own. With opaque pouches, any storage location works since the bag already blocks all light.

That's the trade-off for maximum UV protection: you trade visibility for preservation. The film is doing its job whether you can see the contents or not. If you need to inspect your product during curing, use the Windowed Pouches for a portion of your batch while storing the bulk in opaque. Many growers keep one windowed bag as a "check bag" and store the rest in opaque for the best of both worlds.
No. The engineered film handles gas exchange passively. Unwanted gases diffuse out through the film's layers while maintaining the internal humidity at 58-62%. This is the main advantage over mason jars: seal once, store, done. No daily opening, no schedule, no guesswork.
No. The film regulates humidity on its own using moisture from your product. Adding a humidity pack actually interferes with the film's ability to calibrate properly. Dry to 10-12% moisture content before bagging, fill to 75%, seal, and the film takes over.
Yes. The bags are durable and designed for multiple uses. The UV protection and anti-static properties do diminish gradually over time, but humidity control and odor containment remain effective through several cycles. Store empty bags in a dark place between uses. If you heat-sealed the first time, trim the sealed edge and reseal on the next use.
Heat sealing gives the tightest possible closure and is recommended for storage over 6 months or any commercial packaging. The zipper works fine for personal use and shorter storage periods. The zipper is designed for sealing and long-term storage, not daily open and close. If you need frequent access, the Glassless Grove Bags have a 5-track zipper built for that.
At commercial volumes, UV protection and privacy matter more than visibility. Growers storing pounds at a time are past the "checking on it" stage and need maximum preservation. These larger sizes are designed for backend storage before portioning into smaller retail bags.

Shipping
Check the order confirmation sent to your email or phone after checkout — it includes a tracking link. If you use the Shop App, you can track your order there too.
Most orders arrive in 3-5 business days. Expedited options (2-day, overnight) are available at checkout if you need it sooner.
Signature is only required on orders over $500. For added privacy, we can ship to your local UPS Store so you pick it up on your own schedule — just ask.
We default to UPS Ground or USPS Ground Advantage. Select an expedited option at checkout and we'll use the appropriate carrier for that service.
  • P.O. boxes: Yes, for small and lightweight items.
  • International: Canada only. Email help@happyhydro.com your address and a screenshot of your cart for a shipping quote.
  • APO/FPO: Not currently available.
For Canadian orders, import duties and taxes are the buyer's responsibility. You'll complete payment using your tracking number at UPS.com when your package arrives.
Title and risk of loss pass to you once we hand off to the carrier, but that doesn't mean we leave you hanging. Email help@happyhydro.com and we'll work overtime to track it down and make it right.

We accept credit/debit cards, PayPal, Coinbase, and Happy Hydro gift cards. Your card is charged immediately at checkout.
Double-check your billing address and card number. For larger purchases, your bank may have flagged it — a quick call to authorize the transaction usually sorts it out.

Returns & Cancellations
Email help@happyhydro.com within 30 days of delivery and we'll get you a refund or replacement, your choice. Items must be in original packaging with all parts in resalable condition. Multi-light orders, grow tents, orders over $500, and multi-box shipments may incur return shipping charges. AK, HI, and international buyers are responsible for return and warranty shipping. Some vendor-specific policies may apply — check the product page for details.
Refunds are processed through Shopify within 10 business days. Most customers see the credit back in about 5 days.
