There's a lot of options out there when you're looking at plant nutrients and it's easy to become overwhelmed! Here's a few tips to make things easier for you.

Organic nutrients are usually more forgiving than synthetic nutrients. They have to be broken down by organisms in the soil before the plant can absorb them - making it harder to overfeed. With that said, they take time to begin working unlike synthetic nutrients that are immediately available to your plant. Organic nutrients are commonly used with consumable plants and come in liquid and powdered forms.

Synthetic nutrients work fast and are available in powder and liquid forms. Powdered nutrients can be very economical as they're cheap to ship and can be turned into 100s or 1000s of gallons of water. Liquid nutrients save you the hassle of mixing and are more user friendly. If you're using a liquid fertilizer line we recommend sticking with 1 brand rather than mismatching as they are usually designed to work together seamlessly. We also recommend feeding light (less than manufacturer recommendations) and then increasing as necessary.
