The AC Infinity IONFRAME EVO3 is a 280W bar-style LED grow light built around 840 genuine Samsung LM301H EVO diodes, the most efficient single-diode chip currently available for horticulture lighting. It delivers 1,745 PPFD at center canopy across a 2x4 ft flower footprint, with OSRAM far-red and Seoul UV diodes filling out the spectrum from 395 nm through 730 nm. The removable SOSEN driver can mount outside the tent to reduce heat load, and the included schedule controller handles sunrise/sunset dimming out of the box.

Built for 2x4 tents, not scaled down from something else

840 Samsung LM301H EVO diodes 3.14 µmol/J

Each diode is individually rated at 3.14 µmol/J photosynthetic photon efficacy. The EVO generation outputs more light per watt with a higher blue-spectrum ratio than the older LM301H and LM301B chips it replaces.

Full spectrum with UV and far-red

The main white LEDs run at 3000K and 5000K. Three Seoul 395 nm UV diodes, 27 OSRAM 660 nm red diodes, and 3 OSRAM 730 nm far-red diodes round out the spectrum for both veg and flower stages.

Algorithmically mapped bar layout

Diode spacing across the bars is calculated to deliver even PAR at canopy height, reducing center hotspots and weak corners that single-board fixtures create in rectangular tents.

Removable driver for heat management

The SOSEN 320W driver detaches and mounts outside the tent on a 6 ft cable. Moving the driver out of the canopy can drop tent temps by several degrees during peak summer runs.

Schedule controller with sunrise/sunset

The included controller offers 10 brightness levels, daily on/off scheduling, and a sunrise/sunset ramp that gradually brightens and dims the light to simulate natural daylight transitions.

UIS ecosystem and daisy-chain support Up to 80 lights

How to set up the EVO3

Hang the fixture

Use the included rope clip hangers to mount the light from the tent crossbars. The steel and aluminum frame supports magnetic mounting if your tent has a metal top rail.

Mount the driver (inside or outside)

The SOSEN driver connects via a 6 ft cable. Mount it inside the tent for a simple setup, or move it outside through a duct port to reduce heat in the grow space.

Set the schedule controller

Program your daily on/off times and choose a brightness level (1 through 10). Enable sunrise/sunset mode if you want the light to ramp gradually rather than snap on at full power.

Connect to UIS (optional)

Pair the light with a Controller 69 Pro or Controller AI to unlock WiFi app control, VPD-triggered automation, and data logging. Without a UIS controller, the included schedule controller handles everything you need.

Frequently asked questions

Will this light work in a 3x3 or 4x4 tent, or is it strictly for 2x4?

The EVO3 is designed and PAR-mapped for a 2x4 rectangular footprint. It will physically fit in a 3x3, but you'll get uneven coverage with weak light at two corners. For a 3x3, the IONFRAME EVO4 (300W, square footprint) is the better match. For a 4x4, look at the EVO6 at 500W. AC Infinity sized each model to a specific tent shape on purpose.

How high should I hang this above my canopy?

AC Infinity recommends 24 to 36 inches above the canopy during veg (dimmed to 40-60%) and 12 to 18 inches during flower at full power. Use a PAR meter or phone app to dial it in for your specific tent height. If you see leaf bleaching or tacoing, raise the light 2 to 3 inches and recheck.

Do I need to buy a separate controller, or does it work out of the box?

It works out of the box. The included schedule controller lets you set daily on/off times, choose from 10 brightness levels, and enable sunrise/sunset dimming. A UIS controller (like the Controller 69 Pro) is only necessary if you want WiFi app access, environmental triggers based on temperature or humidity, or automation across multiple devices.

How much heat does this add to a 2x4 tent?

At 280W, expect roughly 5 to 10°F above ambient with the driver mounted inside. Moving the driver outside the tent drops that by a few degrees. In summer you'll likely need a 4-inch or 6-inch inline exhaust fan running to keep canopy temps below 82°F. AC Infinity's own CLOUDLINE fans pair directly with the UIS ecosystem if you want automated temperature-triggered exhaust.

Can I use this with non-AC Infinity controllers or timers?

Yes. The light runs on a standard NEMA 1-15 plug, so any outlet timer will handle basic on/off. You lose the 10-level dimming and sunrise/sunset features when bypassing the included controller, but the light itself functions normally. For dimming control from a third-party system, you'd need the UIS platform.

What's the actual electricity cost to run this light?

At the national average of about $0.16/kWh, running the EVO3 at full power for 12 hours a day costs roughly $16 per month. During an 18/6 veg schedule at 60% brightness, that drops to around $14 per month. Actual cost depends on your local electric rate and dimming level.
