How the EVO6 covers a full 4x4 evenly

A single-board light pushes most of its output through one dense block in the center of the fixture. The plants directly beneath it get plenty, but toward the edges of a 4x4 the intensity drops off, which is why corner plants stretch and finish lighter. The EVO6 fixes that with layout: the 1680 diodes sit across multiple thin bars that span a 32 by 32 inch frame, algorithmically spaced so light is distributed instead of stacked. Corner plants end up seeing close to what the center plants see, so the whole tent grows and finishes more evenly.

The full-spectrum mix handles the rest. 1074 EVO 3000K and 540 EVO 5000K white diodes carry the core photosynthetic spectrum, 54 OSRAM 660nm red diodes push the flowering response, and small counts of 395nm UV and 730nm far-red fill in the edges of the range. Because these are Samsung's LM301H EVO generation at 3.14 umol/J per diode, you get that coverage on a 500W draw rather than a bigger power bill.

EVO is Samsung's current horticulture diode generation, running a higher blue spectrum and more output per diode than LM301H, LM301B, or Bridgelux 3030 chips. Every diode on the board is genuine Samsung, not a re-labeled equivalent.

Detachable driver you can mount off-fixture Remote-mount driver

The driver unclips from the frame and mounts remotely, so you can put its heat outside the tent instead of adding it to a small sealed space. The driver body is compact at 7.16 by 1.57 inches, so it tucks out of the way.

Bar layout sized to a 4x4 footprint

The 32 by 32 inch frame carries diodes across its full width, so the light pattern fills a 4x4 tent rather than hot-spotting in the middle. Corner plants get usable light, not just spill.

Included schedule controller, no wall timer needed

The controller in the box runs a full daily on/off cycle, 10 brightness levels, and a sunrise/sunset setting that ramps the light up and down gradually. That's enough to run the light with nothing else to buy.

UIS platform ready for WiFi and app control

Plug it into a CONTROLLER 69 PRO or CONTROLLER AI+ (sold separately) to add phone app control, remote programming, automation, and custom grow recipes, and to link the light with AC Infinity fans and climate gear on one system.

Daisy-chains up to 80 lights on one schedule

Link fixtures in a line with UIS splitter dongles (sold separately) and run up to 80 lights from a single controller. One schedule change updates every light in the chain at once.

Setting up the EVO6 in your 4x4

Hang the fixture

Center the 32 by 32 inch frame over your 4x4 using the included rope hangers, or use the magnetic mounts on a steel frame. Leave headroom to raise and lower it.

Detach and place the driver

Unclip the driver and mount it outside the tent if you're running a sealed or heat-sensitive space. In an open room you can leave it on the frame.

Set your schedule

Plug in the schedule controller, set your on and off times, and pick a brightness level. Turn on sunrise/sunset if you want the light to ramp instead of snap on.

Dial in hang height

Growers typically hang the EVO6 about 18 to 24 inches above the canopy in bloom, then bring intensity up as stretch finishes. Start lower and raise as plants respond.

Questions
Before you buy the EVO6
The EVO6 is built for a 4x4 flower footprint and 5x5 for veg, and 500W is a strong power band for that size. If your tent is a 5x5, or you want more intensity headroom over a 4x4 to push a dense canopy, the 730W EVO8 is the better fit. For a standard 4x4, the most common home tent size, the EVO6 is the right-sized choice. Call us at 716-217-0353 if you want a second opinion for your setup.
No special outlet needed. At 500W the EVO6 draws 5.0A on a standard 120V household circuit, which leaves plenty of headroom on a typical 15A breaker. For running cost, 500W is 0.5 kWh per hour, so a 12/12 flower schedule is about 6 kWh a day. At a rate of $0.15 per kWh that's roughly $0.90 a day. Plug in your own rate for an exact number, and dimming lowers the draw.
It works out of the box. The included schedule controller runs your daily on/off cycle, dimming, and sunrise/sunset ramp with nothing else to buy. You only need a CONTROLLER 69 PRO or AI+ if you want WiFi and phone app control, automation, grow recipes, or you want to tie the light into other AC Infinity gear on the UIS platform.
That 1991 figure is the maximum output at full intensity and close range, which is a flowering-canopy number, not where you start. Use the 10 brightness levels: run seedlings and early veg at a lower level and a higher hang, then step intensity up as plants mature into flower. The dimming is exactly what lets one light cover a plant's whole life cycle without cooking young growth.
Yes. The driver unclips from the frame and can be mounted away from the fixture, including outside the tent through a port. The reason is heat: the driver runs warm, so moving it out of a small sealed space takes that heat source out of the room your fan or AC has to manage. Check the length of the included lead so you know how far the driver can sit from the fixture in your layout.
Yes. The fixture is IP-65 rated and built on a steel and aluminum chassis, so it's made to hold up in humid environments where a lot of consumer lights aren't. It's rated for 35 to 85% relative humidity and operating temperatures from 32 to 140F, which covers the range most high-humidity tents run.

Shipping
Check the order confirmation sent to your email or phone after checkout — it includes a tracking link. If you use the Shop App, you can track your order there too.
Most orders arrive in 3-5 business days. Expedited options (2-day, overnight) are available at checkout if you need it sooner.
Signature is only required on orders over $500. For added privacy, we can ship to your local UPS Store so you pick it up on your own schedule — just ask.
We default to UPS Ground or USPS Ground Advantage. Select an expedited option at checkout and we'll use the appropriate carrier for that service.
  • P.O. boxes: Yes, for small and lightweight items.
  • International: Canada only. Email help@happyhydro.com your address and a screenshot of your cart for a shipping quote.
  • APO/FPO: Not currently available.
For Canadian orders, import duties and taxes are the buyer's responsibility. You'll complete payment using your tracking number at UPS.com when your package arrives.
Title and risk of loss pass to you once we hand off to the carrier, but that doesn't mean we leave you hanging. Email help@happyhydro.com and we'll work overtime to track it down and make it right.

Some vendor-specific policies may apply — check the product page for details.
Refunds are processed through Shopify within 10 business days. Most customers see the credit back in about 5 days.
